Beads Girgis
Fucking Italians and their tv shows. So, the Sopranos ended its seven year run last night on the HBO.
Can someone tell me what happened?
There is some wicked oompa music that is being played outside of my house right now. It reminds me of the time when some neighbors had a two-day Oktoberfest party--could of been 2003. For two solid days, my neighbors drank and listened to some crazy oompa music--and probably ate some sausage.
I am thinking about purchasing some old polka records. I hate to admit it, but I have been listening to quite a bit of the Polka on the youtube lately. I really like the structure of the music. When I was a little guy, all the old timers were all about the polka. What would you rather listen to: Frank Yankovic or the weak beats of Scott Storch? Also, any form of music that utilizes the banjo--it stands next only to the pedal steel as the best musical instrument--has to bee alright.
Big Love..
Big Love returns to the HBO tonight. I watched the first episodes from season one last summer; I thought it was ok at first. However, after episode six, I mainly used Big Love as a tool to help me get to sleep after I finished work at one in the morning.
I have yet to read the review concerning the first couple episodes from season two. I am sure the critics are not into it.
There is quite a seraphicalness to the opening credits. The show would be more interesting if it based its episodes on the events that transpire during the opening credits. I remember the reason I watched the show during season one was because I turned on HBO right as "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys was being played to the sight of ice skating.
Movies:
Ruling Class

With Venus being released on DVD a couple weeks ago, I have been on a big Peter O'Toole kick lately. Ruling Class was movie I caught on VHS back in High School and movie that recaptured my attention when it was released by Criterion on DVD last summer. This movie is quirky as hell, and it is surly telling about our fucked up class system.
