Season five of the Wire premiers tonight. In all my years of watching television, the Wire is the only show I have gone out of my way to watch every week. Some people may say that Hill Street Blues is the best hour long cop drama in the history of television, but I would have to go out on a limb and say that David Simon's work on the Wire and Homicide: Life on the Street is the best cop drama content ever. Andre Braugher--besides Casey Affleck--is the most underrated actor working today. Saying Hill Street Blues is better than the Wire or Homicide is like professing that the talent of the Ritz Brothers trumps the talent of the Marx Brothers; it just does not add up.

About Me
- Name: Andrea T. Alto, MAAT
- Location: IL, United States
Growing up near the Canadian border has provided me with an incredible appreciation and connection to nature, which resonates in my art work. I imagine the beauty of the wilderness as I create a painting, trying to capture the sights, sounds and smells of the great North Woods. My intention is to offer a sensory experience to those who view these images, an interlude to a more peaceful and serene state of being found in nature. nl.creations@yahoo.com for information on commissioned work.
